Prospecting Alaska came about because like most prospectors I have dreamed about prospecting in Alaska but have always been tied to a 9 to 5 job in the lower 48, along with the responsibilities of raising a family. Now that I am older and have raised the kids I found that I could finally live out that fantasy that all of us dream about, but on a fulltime basis.
In searching for claims in Alaska I knew what it was that I wanted. I wanted claims in an area that was known for producing large amounts of gold in the past, but that had not been worked. This was no easy accomplishment! After much searching and finally locating claims that could be purchased and worked, I made the deals and day dreaming became reality.
My claims are in two very well known areas of gold producing areas in Alaska.
One set of claims is in the Circle Mining District, North of Fairbanks off of the Steese Highway. It is remote but accessable by dirt roads.
The other is on the Forty Mile River , it is very remote and accessable only by boat, off the Taylor Highway North of Chicken Alaska.
These claims are remote. They may be camped on using a tent on the Forty Mile Claims, and by tents or small campers on the claims in the Central Mining District.
Prospectors who wish to work on these claims can do so using a 4 in or smaller dredge, Highbanker, Gold pans, or Metal Detectors.
All prospectors will be responsible for their own prospecting supplies, camping supplies, food, clothing, and everything else required to prospect and camp in these areas.
Everyone will be required to sign a release of liability form, releasing owners from any and all liability for accidents, illness, etc. related to their time on the claims.
You will be working the claims right along with the owners who will be prospecting the area at the same time you are. Upon full payment you will be mailed a map giving detailed driving directions to the claims along with gps coordinates and a permission letter to prospect during the given week you with to reserve.
